In Japan, we learn Chinese classic poetry at school. This is one that stuck in my head since school. It is by the 8th century poet Du Fu and describes how spring comes again to a country ruined by war. The poem is on the front, the cherry blossoms on the back and a castle in the mist on the top part of the vase. I used both drill and sand blasting.
Made in 2004 for my mother's 77th birthday.
